Scope & deliverables

Your project is scoped and priced in the quote you accept: that’s the definitive list of what’s included. Anything beyond it, whether that’s new pages, new features, or a different direction after work has started, is treated as new scope: it gets its own fixed quote, or is billed at the standard hourly rate, never assumed or added silently.

Payment terms

Projects are paid in full, upfront, before work begins: there’s no deposit-and-balance split.

The completed site, its source code, and any handover materials are released once the project is finished and ready to go live.

Your responsibilities during the build

You’ll need to provide the content, images, brand assets and any approvals the build depends on. If something’s waiting on you, the timeline moves back by the same amount. That’s not counted as a delay on Rhys’s end, and doesn’t affect the price agreed in your quote.

Revisions

A reasonable round of design and content revisions is included as standard, as part of getting the details right. If what’s being asked for amounts to a different design or a genuine change of direction, rather than refining what’s already agreed, that’s scoped and quoted as new work.

Code & IP ownership

Once your invoice is paid, you own the finished design, your content and copy, and the specific site you were sold: outright, no conditions attached.

Rhys retains ownership of his own general-purpose code, components and tooling used to build it, so the same building blocks can be reused for future clients, but you get an unrestricted, permanent licence to use the finished site exactly as delivered, for as long as you like.

Third-party platforms and services your site relies on (hosting infrastructure, payment processing, and similar) remain governed by their own separate terms. Neither of us owns those.

Warranties & liability

For 30 days after launch, Rhys will fix, free of charge, any genuine defect in the code he delivered: something that doesn’t work as intended, caused by his own build. That doesn’t cover new requests, content changes, or issues caused by changes made after handover.

Beyond that window, fixes and changes are covered by your ongoing plan if you have one, or billed at the standard hourly rate if you don’t.

Rhys isn’t liable for outages or bugs in third-party services, issues in software or platforms he didn’t build, or loss of business, revenue or data arising from any of this. Where liability can’t be excluded by law, it’s limited to the fees paid for the project.
