What they needed
A private golf society needed to move on from spreadsheets and group chats: one app to run the whole season, official and always up to date.

- Live scorecard entry with automatic handicap and Stableford scoring
- League tables that update instantly as rounds are submitted

- Built and shipped as an installable mobile app (PWA): no app store needed
How it works
The society plays at Caerphilly Golf Club, and before the app the season lived in spreadsheets and a group chat. Now members enter their scores on their phones; handicaps and Stableford points are worked out as they go, and the league table moves the moment a round is submitted, so there’s one answer to “where am I?”.
Knockouts run themselves: the bracket is drawn, each match-play result moves the winner on, and the next round appears. At each of golf’s Majors the sweepstake pairs members with professionals automatically, with nobody drawing names by hand.
It’s a members-only clubhouse behind a login, added to the home screen from the browser like any app, with no app store involved. That keeps it private to the society, and every update reaches every member at once.
